What is the best program to conver any video format TO MKV format?

i want to end up with the MKV format… I have found 1000’s of programs to convert mkv to something else but have not found one to convert to MKV format. There has to be one i have many movies from the internet that comes in mkv format and i like it a large movie compressed into a small space like from 4.7 gig down to 120 meg.. please help me find it links will help alot.

    Youtube recommends but it’s a command line tool.

    use TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTOR version 3.12

    it can convert any format on earth till date…

    I am convinced, according to my own experience, that Pavtube video converter can convert any videos to MKV format.
